CONCEPT STATEMENT:

For ARC486 – Design V, I designed the Google Technology Center, a modern office, café, and retail space located on a 9.25-acre site in Glen Cove, NY. The concept, titled The Digital Garden, was guided by the goal of creating a clear, site-specific design rooted in nature and community. Taking inspiration from the site’s curved corner, I introduced a central park and pond at that edge, with the buildings arranged in a gentle arc that responds to this geometry. The massing encourages movement across the site and fosters strong indoor-outdoor connections. Designed as a place where employees can enjoy peaceful walks during their breaks and visitors can connect with nature, the project offers a calm, inviting atmosphere that supports both work and community engagement.
